China Yangling Agricultural High-Tech Fair

Preparations for a Canadian Mission to the China Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Fair (CAF) which will take place on November 5-9, 2011 are well underway. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) and International Science and Technology Partnerships Canada (ISTPCanada) invite Canadian companies and researchers to participate in a technology and business partnering mission to the largest and most comprehensive agricultural high-tech fair in China.

The CAF has the full support of China's leading national and regional governments, such as the State Ministries of Science and Technology, Agriculture, Finance, Commerce, Education and the Government of Shaanxi Province. The Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Industries Demonstration Zone in the Province of Shaanxi of China is a unique, key national agricultural base that focuses on modern agricultural and international cooperation. In 2010, this event had over 1,500 enterprises with exhibit, attracted over one million visitors including 10,000 business people from over 20 countries and generated an estimated CAD $4 billion in trade and investment. During the CAF 2011, there will be various exhibits and demonstrations. Some special events include agri-food trade fair, agri-machinery trade fair, agri-production materials trade fair, wine tasting trade fair, seed industry exhibit, animal husbandry exhibit, irrigation and water-saving technology exhibit, and more. Technology and Business Partnering

Delegates will discover new opportunities by meeting potential R&D partners, business partners, key government and business leaders. Key activities include one-on-one meetings and networking, briefing sessions on doing business in China with keynote speakers, and seminars. Delegates may also showcase their technologies and products, and conduct promotional sales in the Canada Pavilion at CAF 2011 in Yangling.

Exhibitor fees are CAD$1,000 for a 9 sq.m. booth, which includes space allocation and booth construction. Other benefits include:

• Opportunity to showcase your company and technology under the Canada Brand;
• Onsite promotional support, scheduled business to business meetings and liaison assistance with show organizers;
• Onsite sales of products;
• One onsite assistant with English-Chinese interpretation ability;
• Exhibitor-specific market and commercialization information;
• Onsite graphic design, printing and translation services available for an additional fee.

Individual Turn Key Booth Includes:

• Individual company identification;
• Customized design with specialized graphics;
• Hardwalls (QTY:2-3);
• Display counter or bistro table, 2 chairs, standard electrical outlet and lighting;
• Show badges;
• Daily stand cleaning.
